In the beginning it's always the same. I mount a tank of a bike, a mobile multi-tool for self-contained survival, and push off into a new unknown. Commited with the first downward stroke, the comforts and securities built fade into non-existance. Maybe it's the rush of activity in preparation for this day that floods reason with an unbeknownst cocktail of mind dope that I am elated with each new pump of a leg. In this moment the infinite is open to me. This lasts about an hour, the cocktail wears off, sanity returns, screams, "What the fuck is this?". Questioning why are we in these elements, our muscles aching, straining, as we try to cut a thin line on trafficed roadways? Fear sets in, doubts ride the spine. It has begun!

I take pictures of art that interests; I share some with you.

I camed across this sculpture outside of Someset, CO. There were about 1/2 dozen more sculptures along this strech of roadside. I'll post some more photos of them, and other works of art, soon.

Images from past tours.

This photo, taken on my third tour, is at Bear Falls, after the switchbacks coming down the Million Dollar Hwy from Red Mountian Pass. It was a ride I almost missed, since this wasn't my orginal planned route. However, due to the harsh fire season all of The National Forest areas in northern New Mexico were closed. This was my alternate route. It was a greatr ride.
